PUBLIC PROGRAM 2/22/26 - 2/26/26
Sign-Ups are now open for our Tarot-thon for Immigrant Rights
Our annual Tarot-Thons gather a wide constellation of healing arts practitioners to pool time, skill, and resources in service of community care.
For the past decade, these events have transformed divination into a collective fundraising practice, directing spiritual and creative labor toward material support for those harmed by structural violence.
The Tarot-Thon for Immigrant Rights is an expression of unequivocal solidarity with immigrant communities facing violence, unjust enforcement, and harmful rhetoric.
ONLINE COURSE 5/26 - 5/27
Early bird pricing is now available for the Alchemical Imagination Year-Long Course.
“The Alchemical Imagination” is a year-long online immersion that meets monthly and guides participants through the twelve stages outlined by the alchemist George Ripley for the creation of the Philosopher’s Stone. Using Ripley’s stages as a framework, we draw on metaphors from ancient alchemy to illuminate the deeper structures of the creative imagination, engaging alchemical symbolism as a catalyst for personal and imaginative expansion. Together, we study alchemical texts and images from the healing traditions of ancient China and India, theurgical and magical practices of the Hellenistic world, the artistic and philosophical practices of Egyptian alchemists, the laboratory techniques of Arabic alchemy, the astrological systems of the Greeks, Medieval European magical traditions, and modern alchemical art and literature. Led by Eliza Swann.
ONLINE COURSE 4/6/26 - 4/20/26
Join us for a three-part mystery series with Eliza Swann, Mary Magdalene and the Magic of Ascent.
This three-session class traces the mystery schools contemporary with Mary Magdalene and situates the Gospel According to Mary—a Gnostic text written down in the 3rd century CE and rediscovered in 1896—within the tradition of ascension magic: teachings and practices concerned with the soul’s movement through psychic, ethical, and cosmic realms toward intimacy with the divine. Published only in 1955, the text allows us to hear Mary Magdalene speak in her own voice and suggests that she was not only Jesus’ closest disciple, but a primary transmitter of esoteric knowledge.
ONLINE EVENT 12/14/25
SYMBOLORUM: The Secret Wisdom of Emblems with perfumer Mandy Aftel at the Philosophical Research Society, Online
Join us as we welcome perfumer, writer, and museum founder Mandy Aftel for a discussion about her new book, Symbolorum: The Secret Wisdom of Emblems (Abbeville Press, 2025). Emblem books were an incredibly popular literary form in the 17th century, and then totally disappeared! In this talk, Mandy will introduce the lost literary and visual world of emblems to a modern audience. Following Mandy's presentation, artist and educator Eliza Swann will moderate a discussion and Q&A.
