Artist-in-Residence Programs
From 2015 - 2019, Golden Dome organized nine artist in residence programs, each themed after a Tarot card.
Our last residency was in 2019 in Joshua Tree, CA dedicated to the Hermit.
Rainbow Transmissions
In 2019, Golden Dome was commissioned by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs to produce “Rainbow Transmissions,” two free vegan rainbow feasts in Pershing Square Park. Performers included Yoli Alma-Flor, Breadwoman, Edgar Fabián Frías, Fawntisse Finesse, Francisco Gonzales, Matthewdavid, 미친년 / Michinyeon, Thaddeus Pedisich, Laura Stinger, Eliza Swann
The Magician
In 2015, The Magician artist residency took place in Woodstock, NY.
Visiting artists included Frank Haines, Guadalupe Maravilla, Mollie McKinley, Zeljko McMullen, Linda Montano, and Eliza Swann
The Resurrection of Care
From 2015 - 2024, Golden Dome organized the “Resurrection of Care” pageant in collaboration with various arts organizations in Los Angeles. Each year Golden Dome artists re-instate a vow to care for ourselves and all of the people, plants, animals, water, earth, air, and spirits that are threatened by unfettered greed and exploitation.
Tactical Magic
From 2016 - 2020, Eliza Swann and Edgar Fabián Frías, along with guest teachers, organized classes designed to teach magical strategies for enhancing activism. Subjects included telepathy, shape-shifting, and protective magic.
Tarot-Thons
In connection with Eliza Swann’s “Tarot Initiates” course, Golden Dome has organized dozens of Tarot-thons where psychics pool their labor to raise funds for various organizations.
We have raised over 50k to date in support of Black, Indigenous, and Trans led organizations.
