What is Golden Dome?

Golden Dome is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the study of the relationships between mysticism and the arts.

Golden Dome began as a queer, intersectional school committed to exploring spiritual, artistic, and communal inquiry. Over our first decade, Golden Dome operated as a curatorial and educational platform offering immersive courses, public rituals, artist residencies, exhibitions, performances, and publications across the United States.

Our annual Resurrection of Care ritual gave members of our community an opportunity to renew our vows to each other and our earth and reinforce our resistance to the greed and exploitation that threatens us all. Golden Dome has collaborated with numerous cultural institutions including Coaxial Arts, Feminist Center for Creative Work, The Hammer Museum, The Philosophical Research Society, and more.

Now, as the Golden Dome Foundation, we support projects that echo and expand our ethos. We continue to honor models for non-hierarchical communal learning and endeavors that reimagine the boundaries around artistic disciplines.

Throughout our evolution our values have remained steady: we encourage questions and support intellectual, spiritual and creative freedom. We approach magic as a restorative practice with the potential to return health to people and our planet. We embrace animism as an antidote to capitalism.

The Golden Dome was founded by artist and mystic Eliza Swann in 2014, and nurtured by an expanding circle of essential collaborators.

Golden Dome is a parent organization to the Emerald School, founded by Eliza Swann in 2025.
